RFE/RL’s Radio Mashaal was sent a video by the Pakistani Taliban which shows a now-free Adnan Rashid, a prominent militant and one of the nearly 400 prisoners who escaped in a Taliban jailbreak in northwest Pakistan on April 15.
Rashid is a former Pakistani Air Force officer who was convicted of involvement in the 2003 assassination attempt of former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf. Prison guards say militants who broke into the prison asked only one question: “Where is Adnan?”
